When our special angels was born we said God how could this be.
We asked for a healthy little boy, just look what you sent to me.
I have so many burdens are you sure this ones for me?
I know I’m not strong enough to handle what he might be

The hours seemed to go back slowly, I didn’t know what to do
So I turned to God in prayer each day and asked him to help me through
He didn’t give me an answer, at least not right away, so I prayed and I thought
And I thought and I prayed, and I cried the night away.

Then one night I met someone with a message sent from God
She said you have a blessing, yes a blessing sent from God
He will give you love, no matter how bad the day

Let me leave with one final thought of how it came to be
That this precious little boy, was given to you and me
We thought it was what we could do. To make him the best he could be
but I think God sent to us for the love he thought we both would need

About the Song:

Special Angels was written about my new born son David. He was horn Hydrocephalic, because of severe brain hemorrhage which affected half of David's brain. David was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. The doctor said that death would not be the worst thing that could happen to this child. The song is about the struggle that I had with what David might be. David is now 19 years old and a high school graduate. He is in college where he is majoring in Business. Quite a feat for someone who the doctors thought might be better off not living. A real walking, talking miracle.
